Half-Fish
Children's Graphic Novel Concept
"Half-Fish" is a middle grade graphic novel concept I created about a girl born with a fish tail.

"It’s not easy being different. As far as Adeline knows, she’s the only person in the world who was born with a fish tail instead of legs. The strange thing is, both of her parents are completely normal humans. They’ve done test after test, and nothing can explain why Adeline was born this way.
​
Having a fish tail is weird enough, but it also makes life way more difficult to navigate. It turns out, nothing in modern society was built for half-fish people. With her tail needing constant water, and not being able to walk on land, Adeline is stuck spending every day in her backyard pool. She dreams of one day being able to see the world and make some friends, but as long as she has this tail, her dreams will never come true.

One day, a girl named Kate moves in next door. As Adeline and Kate start to become friends, they come up with a plan to find the reason behind Adeline’s condition, and hopefully find a way to get rid of the tail for good."

"The Princess of Terrible Things" is a middle grade graphic novel concept I created about a princess with a terrible legacy.

"Princess Bernie lives with her uncle King Galwyn in a faraway kingdom on top of a mountain. She never knew her parents, but she did know one thing: they were banished for doing terrible things. What things exactly? Nobody will tell her, no matter how much she begs everyone in the palace to give her a clue. “It’s too dangerous,” they say, “you don’t want to end up like them.” Instead, she is told to practice being good everyday to ensure she will never do what her parents did.
But when King Galwyn mysteriously disappears, Bernie is determined to find him, and uncover the secret behind her parent’s banishment."

The Seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo
Alternate Cover Concept
This is a concept for an alternate cover for Taylor Jenkins Reid's The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo. After reading this story, I was inspired to create an alternate cover utilizing both my illustrations and design abilities. My goal was to portray the theme of public image vs private life by revealing different pieces of Evelyn's life on the front and the back cover.
