Knit Monkey Magazine
Children's Magazine Concept
Knit Monkey: Knitting Magazine for Kids was a self-driven project I put together to play with layout and my love of knitting. This magazine was designed as an 8.5”x11” pamphlet intended to be a “freebie” that would be available to kids in a craft store or library. Knitting is very tactile, so I wanted to incorporate real knitting materials throughout the magazine by using personal photos of my projects and yarn collections as well as stock images. Since knitting tends to have a lot of complex language, I utilized scale, type hierarchy, and colorful graphics to create a more accessible and kid-friendly package.
